Connections in the community
Personal message from Andy
I’m thrilled to share that Indigo Gardens & Design and Native Roots will be matching up to $10,000 in donations to support the incredible work Wild Ones is doing to bring native plant education to our community through their upcoming book project. Indigo Gardens began over 13 years ago as a boutique garden maintenance company, taking sole ownership in 2024, I plan to keep the torch burning for years to come. Our approach blends essential non-native and native plants to create meaningful, vibrant outdoor spaces. We focus on environmentally responsible practices and building a team-first culture. Our staff are cared for and supported, and in turn, they take care of our clients and their homes with dedication and heart.
I recognize a real need in the community: many homeowners want to create and maintain their own gardens but don’t know where to start. That’s why I launched Native Roots—a new business endeavor to provide native plants for the do-it-yourself gardener. Starting in 2025, Native Roots will offer access to native plants and expert advice, so you can get your hands in the dirt and help restore ecological balance right from your own backyard. As a second-year business owner of Indigo Gardens and Design, I feel called to raise awareness around the role we all play in shaping a better, more sustainable future. This movement is bigger than me—and bigger than any one business or person. It’s about creating lasting change for the next generation and the generations after that. Every choice we make, every garden we plant, has a ripple effect on the land we inhabit.
I’m surrounded by a talented, passionate team and an incredible community of clients. Together, we’re working with purpose: to live joyfully, sustainably, and in harmony with our environment. When I say “community,” I mean everyone and every living thing—from families living on small or large pieces of land, to the pollinators that help our food grow, to the insects that abide in biodiverse landscapes, to the birds whose songs bring joy from dawn to dusk. We are all part of this ecosystem. But we must act now. If we don’t start taking meaningful steps today, we may be facing a future where our resourceful land, food systems, and biodiversity are in serious decline.
That’s why I’m asking for your help. Let’s double our $10,000 contribution and grow the movement for native plants and ecological education.
Native plants are—and will continue to be—the solution. Thank you for supporting this project, and for helping us cultivate the seed of education for generations to come.
